Setup your Linutop (2)

Data persistence

If "user setting only persistence" is checked (default option), all software change, except user settings, will disappear at restart.

If "full persistence system" is checked system changes will be stored on the internal flash memory and will be kept at next startup.

Once customised your system can be password locked (screen shot "Security").

Misc

If "Don't start Xorg" is checked you can use your Linutop without graphical interface (you have to master the Unix command lines.)

If "Check and try to fix the filesystem errors" (default option), a filesystem check (and correction) is launched at startup.

Windows shares

You can access to shared network disks on Windows computer or Windows fileservers.

Backups

You can make a backup copy of your system on a external USB key. This key can be used later to restore this configuration.

If you apply this command on an external hard drive, and convert your Linutop into a small Linux file server.
