Slackware

Installed Slackware 11.0 on linutop 2 via pxe boot onto a USB key. It booted fine but failed to mount the root filesystem because /dev/sda1 didn't exist because the USB drive wasn't recognised in time. It worked successfully when I placed the root filesystem on /dev/hda2 and tweaked lilo accordingly. This was a minimal install only - just series a packages.

I installed Slackware 12.0 on a USB key using my laptop and then plugged the key into the linutop 2 and it worked perfectly. I installed series a packages plus stuff from ap, l and n to give me a nice a LAMP web server. Uses just under 400 Mb of disk space and idles at 6W!
