What are the differences between Linutop OS Free & Pro ?

Linutop OS Pro can be installed from the Linutop OS Free in the Install Tap of the configuration panel.

Linutop OS is optimized For Digital signage and kiosk use and reduce maintenance costs. The operating system is energy efficient as the processor is less solicited.

Linutop OS XS which is based on Raspberry Pi OS (Buster). Linutop OS for PC which is based on Ubuntu 18.04 LTS.

Compatibility

Can I run Linutop OS on my current PC to test its features...

Yes! As long as drivers are compatibles.

You can download Linutop OS demo version following this link.
You can also access this URL from Linutop's front page www.linutop.com (click on Download).

Linutop OS for PC can be downloaded and ran on a Hard Drive, a USB Key (8GB) or a flash Memory.

Linutop OS XS for Raspberry PI can be downloaded and ran on a micro SD (8GB) .

I heard that Linutop OS can be runned from a USB key ?

Linutop OS offers the possibility to 'backup' all tour system's information on a USB key (8Gb). You can then boot on that USB key from any computer* to keep your Linutop OS environment and data.
 Linutop OS Demo can be downloaded on a USB key following that link.
  *Linutop OS runs on any PC that has the correct drivers (see above) once the boot order is configured in the BIOS (Set the boot priority to USB device. You may also have to set the USB device as Default data device).

What is the maximum screen resolution ?

4K 3840x2160 pixels.

Can Linutop play video ?

The Linutop's is delivered with VLC media player installed.

You can play video files (MPEG, AVI, WMV, ...) in full-screen mode.

How to connect my Linutop to the Internet?

Wired connection: Each Linutop has one RJ45 ethernet port.
Wifi connection: You would have to acquiere a USB key for wifi or 3G which chipset is compatible with Ubuntu 16.04.

After purchase

When may my parcel be delivered ?

Linutop parcels are sent to the indicated address of shipping at 10 a.m. the business day your payment is received or next. The delivery might then be accomplished within 2 days if in metropolitanian France. For other countries or DOM-TOM, it might be done within a week.
A confirmation e-mail may confirm your purchase and another one might give you information to track your parcel (in most of the cases).
 For a software or service purchase you can use them as soon as your payment is received (you may receive a payment confirmation e-mail).

With a Linutop:
- Insert your documents onto the mini PC
- Drag and drop your documents into the Linutop Kiosk software
- Create your playlist by choosing the order and display time of the media
- Launch the playlist: "Linutop Kiosk - launcher"

With Linutop OS:
- Install Linutop OS from the demo version
- Insert your documents onto your PC
- Create your playlist in the Linutop Kiosk software by choosing the order and display time of the media
- Launch the playlist: "Linutop Kiosk - launcher"

With Linutop TV:

- Upload your media to your Linutop TV account
