Linutop OS 2.4

  • Configuration tool:
    • add a button to enable/disable Network Manager

  • Lconfeditor:

    • network manager (not started by default)

New bugfix release:

  • Firefox:
    • different handling of the settings; makes it start faster the first time
    • provide the full fullscreen and flashblock plugins
  • Configuration tool:
    • don't break the autostart if ok is not clicked the first time
    • remove the 'view' tab
  • lusm-web
    • it can now perform system upgrades (by keeping the second partition untouched and downloading only the system file - squashfs, kernel and initramfs)
    • more robust partitioning system
  • Admin tools: avoid the distro choice at startup
  • Remove warning message from the kernel at boot time
  • Provide ntfs-3g to reading/writing on NTFS partitions

Linutop OS 2.2

New release based on Hardy:

  • Xfce 4.4.2 with all patches from Ubuntu
  • Firefox 3.0
  • Open Office 2.4
  • Kernel 2.6.23
  • Boot time improvements, between 10 and 15 seconds gained.
  • Xorg driver updated to automatically detect the screen.
  • Improved lusm scripts, in particular they manage mounted keys.
  • Improved configuration tool, proposes to reboot when some changes need to be applied.

New software:

  • rdp and vnc clients.
  • auto handling of external hardware.
